A Compact Glass Wall Light for Bedsides and Hallways
The Tooy Legier small wall light is designed by Corrado Dotti, and it brings the collection's Murano inspired glass globe to the wall. It measures about 25cm across, 28cm deep and 38cm high, so it stands out from the wall enough to feel like an object rather than a flat panel. It is a good wall light for a hallway, and it works well as a pair of bedside wall lights.
Glass and Ring Options
The wall bracket is Sand Black powder coated metal. The globe comes in Opal White, which glows evenly and softly, or Smoke, which is darker and throws a warmer, amber toned light on the wall behind. Choose a Light Grey ring to keep it quiet, or a Brushed Brass ring to add a warm edge.
How it works
The LED is integrated, so there is no bulb to buy or replace. It gives around 1375 lumens of warm white light at 2700K and is dimmable. The light is wall mounted and hard wired. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
Use it either side of a bed, along a hallway, beside a mirror or on a landing. In a small room it saves floor and table space. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy dates from 2015, when Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei launched it in Italy's Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti, who trained with Matteo Thun and then Armani Casa before opening his own studio in 2009, has been creative director since 2017. The lamps are made in Italy.
