A Tall Vertical LED Pendant, 175cm High
The Tooy Igor Vertical Pendant Light is designed by Duccio Maria Gambi, who drew on the clean balance of helicopter forms. It is a tall, slim column of light, and it is also a genuinely large fitting: approximately 175cm high and 20cm across, hung from a 200cm cable. It is made for double height hallways, stairwells, and tall rooms where a regular pendant would look lost.
Matte Black or Satin Nickel With Ripstop Fabric
The diffuser is a Ripstop fabric, which gives a soft, even glow instead of a hard point of light. Matte Black is the more graphic option and looks strong against pale walls. Satin Nickel is lighter and cooler, with a quiet metallic edge that suits stone, glass and grey interiors.
How it works
The light source is built in. It is a 50W integrated LED at 2700K, giving around 5500 lumens of warm white light, so there are no bulbs to buy. It is dimmable with DALI 2 or Push control. The pendant hangs from a ceiling canopy on a 200cm cable. A qualified electrician should always install this fitting.
Where it works best
The vertical shape suits stairwells, open plan staircases and the space beside a tall window, where the height can be shown off. It also works as a statement pendant light in a double height living room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.
The story behind Tooy
Tooy was founded in 2015 by Valeria Giacomozzi and Valerio Tidei in Italy's Marche region. It began as a spin off from Gibas, the Giacomozzi family lighting company that has made tailor made lighting in Marche since 1959. Corrado Dotti has been creative director since 2017, and the brand's lamps are made in Italy.
