Smoke plated glass gives this Sycamore wall light a more atmospheric character than clear or opal, deepening the glow and taking the brightness down a notch while still letting plenty of light through. The brass frame and satin black arms bring warmth to the design, and the two E14 candles behind the smoked shades create a softer, more textured light. A pull switch on the fitting lets you turn it on and off without reaching for a wall switch.

Choosing Your Finish

Brass is naturally warm and works with the grey tone of the smoke plated glass to create a slightly more contemporary mood than the clear glass option. The smoke effect darkens the light output while maintaining good illumination, making it a good choice if you want the Sycamore shape but prefer something less stark or clinical. The same fitting is also available with clear, opal or amber glass, or with a satin nickel frame if you want a cooler metal tone.

How It Works

Two E14 candle bulbs, capable of handling up to 20W each, sit behind the smoke plated shades. The Class II wiring means no earth connection is required. If you wire it to a compatible dimmer and use dimmable bulbs, you can fine tune the light output from softer to brighter depending on what you need.

How bright is the smoke plated version compared to clear glass?
The smoke plating darkens the glass, so less light passes through. You'll still get good illumination, but it feels softer and less glary than clear.

Yes, it's IP44 rated and safe for bathroom zones 1 and 2. It's a good option above a basin or beside a shower.

Are the shades pre attached?
