Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light - Weathered Stone - Solar

A Solar Garden Globe with No Wiring to Mains

The Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light in Weathered Stone is a solar powered garden globe light with a stone effect surface. It comes in three sizes: 28cm, 38cm and 50cm diameter. A small solar panel sits in a sunny spot within reach of the globe, so there is no mains supply to run. It suits driveway and path lighting, borders and patios, and gives an outdoor light that looks good by day as well as at night.

Weathered Stone Finish

The Weathered Stone finish is a soft grey stone colour with a rough, grainy surface. The surface is designed to weather naturally over time, so it keeps a realistic look in the garden. By day it reads as a stone sphere among the planting, and when it is lit the surface glows with a pale, textured light. The globe is moulded polyethylene, not real stone.

How It Works

This is the solar version. A small solar panel connects to the globe by a cable, and the panel should be placed in a sunny spot. The panel can be fixed to its own ground spike, as shown in the product photos. The light source is an integrated LED, and the globe is rated IP65. The globe comes with a mounting bracket for secure attachment, and an optional ground spike is available. The set is portable, so it can be moved to a new position later. No mains wiring is needed for the solar version.

We recommend that this fitting is installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

Use it along a path or driveway, in a border, on a patio or beside seating for alfresco evenings. Because there is no mains cable to run, it is a good choice where digging a cable route would be difficult. A single large globe works as a focal point, and a pair of different sizes looks natural together.
