A Weathered Stone Globe Light for Paths, Drives and Borders
The Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light in weathered stone is a mains powered garden globe light with a stone effect outdoor finish. It comes in three sizes, 28cm, 38cm and 50cm diameter, and is made from polyethylene with a rough surface that weathers naturally. It is rated IP65 and suits driveway and path lighting, borders and alfresco evenings. The 50cm globe is a large fitting, so please check these measurements against your space before ordering.
Weathered Stone Finish, 230V Mains
This version has the weathered stone finish: a rough, textured surface in muted stone tones. It looks like stone in the daytime and glows when lit at night. This is the mains 230V version, so it connects directly to a mains supply and does not need a driver or transformer. The same globe is also made in other finishes and power types, including low voltage, plug and play and solar.
How It Works
The globe runs from a 230V mains supply. No driver is required. The bulb is not supplied, and the manufacturer's specification lists 3W for the 28cm globe, 5W for the 38cm and 12W for the 50cm. A 12.5cm circular mounting base bracket is included for secure attachment, and it has a 25mm cable gland and earth connection parts. An optional ground spike is available separately. The polyethylene shell is rated IP65. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
Where It Works Best
Use it along a garden path, beside a driveway, in a planted border or on a patio or decking. The manufacturer also suggests it for creating a warm ambience for alfresco evenings.
