A Stone Effect Garden Globe Light for Mains Power
The Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light in sandstone is a mains powered garden globe light, made from polyethylene with a rough stone effect surface. It comes in three sizes: 28cm, 38cm and 50cm diameter. By day it looks like a stone ball in the garden, and at night it glows. It suits paths, driveways and borders, and anyone looking for stone effect outdoor lighting with a natural look.
Sandstone Finish, 230V Mains Version
The sandstone finish is a soft, warm stone colour with a rough, textured surface that weathers naturally. This is the 230V mains version, so it connects straight to the mains supply and does not need a driver or transformer. Stone Globe also make low voltage, plug and play and solar versions, so check you have chosen the mains one.
How It Works
The globe runs directly from a 230V mains supply, with no driver required. The store specification lists lamp ratings of 3W for the 28cm, 5W for the 38cm and 12W for the 50cm. A circular mounting base bracket, 12.5cm across, holds the globe securely, and it has a 25mm cable gland and earth connection parts. An optional ground spike is available. The globe is rated IP65, so it is protected against dust and water jets. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.
Where It Works Best
Stone Globe suggests these globes for driveway and path lighting, and for creating a warm atmosphere on alfresco evenings. They also work well along borders, beside steps and on patios.
