Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light - Portland Stone - Solar

A Solar Powered Garden Globe Light, No Wiring Needed

The Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light in Portland Stone is a solar powered garden globe light with a stone effect surface. It comes in three sizes, 28cm, 38cm and 50cm diameter, and a small separate solar panel sits in a sunny spot away from the globe. There is no mains supply to run. The 50cm size is a large fitting, so please check these measurements against your space before ordering. It suits paths, borders, patios and driveways as a stone effect outdoor light.

Portland Stone Finish, Solar Version

This globe has a pale Portland Stone finish with a rough, textured surface that weathers naturally. It is moulded from polyethylene, not carved from stone. By day it sits in the garden as a pale stone effect sphere, and at night it glows softly from within. This is the solar version, so it needs no transformer and no cable run back to the house.

How It Works

An integrated LED sits in the base of the globe. A small solar panel, supplied on its own spike, charges the light during the day. The panel connects to the globe by a cable, so you can place it in a sunny spot while the globe sits where you want the light. Keep the panel somewhere it gets good sun. The globe is rated IP65, so it is protected against dust and water jets. It comes with a mounting bracket, and an optional ground spike is available for use in soft ground. The design is portable, so you can move it as your garden changes.

Where It Works Best

Stone Globe suggests these globes for driveway and path lighting, and for creating a warm mood on alfresco evenings. They also look good in planted borders, beside patio seating or in a pot display, and give your garden some presence by day as well as by night.
