Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light - Granite - Plug & Play

A Granite Effect Garden Globe on the 12V Plug and Play System

The Stone Globe Spherical Garden Light in granite is a stone effect outdoor light for paths, borders and driveways. It is a moulded polyethylene sphere with a rough, granite effect surface, and it comes in three sizes: 28cm, 38cm and 50cm diameter. It runs on the 12V Plug and Play system, so it is a low voltage garden globe light that connects with plug together cable and connectors. The 50cm size is a large fitting, so please check the measurements against your space before ordering.

Granite Finish

The surface is grey and rough, like cut granite, and it is meant to look natural in a border or beside a path. The manufacturer says the rough surface weathers naturally, and describes the globe cover as UV and frost resistant. Each globe is moulded from polyethylene, so it is much lighter than real stone.

How It Works

This is a 12V Plug and Play globe. It needs a transformer, which is bought separately, and an output cable. The standard cable is 0.45m, and you can choose a 5m cable. For a larger garden, the manufacturer suggests adding a cable pack of 10m, 25m or 50m, plus the connectors you need. A 12V LED bulb is supplied: 3W E27 in the 28cm, 5W E27 in the 38cm and 7W E27 in the 50cm. A mounting bracket comes with the globe, with a 12.5cm circular base, and an optional ground spike is available. The globe is rated IP65 and can be moved and repositioned. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where It Works Best

It suits driveway and path lighting, borders and patios, and it gives a warm glow for alfresco evenings. In daylight the granite effect finish stands in the garden on its own, and at night the globe lights up from inside.
