The Minitopo Table Lamp in Black and Gold is a metal table lamp from Stilnovo, designed by Joe Colombo and supplied with a 7W E27 LED bulb.

Black and gold finish

Black and gold gives this design a slightly more formal character, though the details stay exactly as Colombo intended: slits cut into the shade in a nod to the cooling vents of 1960s sports cars, and a rounded form that wraps around its bulb the way an engine cover wraps around its engine. That resemblance to a small, whiskered creature is where the name comes from, minitopo meaning little mouse in Italian.

The story behind Stilnovo

Stilnovo was founded in Milan in 1946 by Bruno Gatta, and its later work with Joe Colombo added pieces like Minitopo to a catalogue already built on engineering minded design.
