Stilnovo Minibox Wall Light - Coffee

The Stilnovo Minibox Wall Light in Coffee is the wall mounted version of Stilnovo's Minibox design by Gae Aulenti and Piero Castiglioni, a compact metal fixture whose head detaches magnetically so it can be repositioned at will.

Coffee is a rich, bronzed brown that reads as warm rather than dark, and it brings out the sculptural quality of the design nicely, especially the rounded metal body and the small illuminated eye that gives Minibox its miner's lamp character. It's a fixture that looks equally considered whether it's mounted alone or in a pair.

Built from metal with a PMMA lens, it takes a 10W integrated PowerLED and is controlled through phase cut dimming, so it needs a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit rather than a standard switch. Mounted beside a bed it becomes a proper reading light thanks to the adjustable head, and it's just as at home lighting a hallway, office or dining room wall.

Because Minibox is made to order rather than kept ready made, we can't take these back once they've been produced, so it's worth double checking the finish first. Installation by a registered NICEIC electrician is recommended.
