The Minibox Table Lamp in Coffee is a metal table lamp from Stilnovo, designed by Gae Aulenti and Piero Castiglioni, with a magnetically attached head that lifts free and can be aimed in any direction.

Coffee finish

The coffee finish is a deep bronzed brown that gives the lamp a more grounded, tactile feel than its brighter siblings. The glowing lens set into the metal body still calls to mind a miner's lamp, and the sculpted handle makes it as satisfying to hold as it is to look at.

How it works

It dims via a push button built into the base and plugs in on a 2 metre cable, so there's no wiring to think about.

Where it works best

It sits comfortably on a desk, a bedside table, or a sideboard in a living or dining room, and works just as well in an office or a quiet reading corner.

Stilnovo was founded in Milan in 1946 by Bruno Gatta, and this warmer finish shows Minibox adapting well beyond its original, more graphic colourways.
