An industrial edge for a desk lamp

The Minibox Table Lamp in Black is a compact metal lamp designed by Gae Aulenti and Piero Castiglioni for Stilnovo, with a head that attaches magnetically and can be lifted off and turned to face wherever light is needed.

Black finish

In black, the lamp takes on a graphic, almost architectural quality, its rounded metal body and glowing lens reading like a small piece of industrial design. That miner's lamp reference is still there, but matte black gives it a bit more edge.

How it works

It runs a 10W integrated PowerLED and dims via a push button on the base, plugging in on its own 2 metre cable rather than needing to be wired in.

Where it works best

It's easy to place on a desk, a bedside table or a console, and works well in an office, living room, dining room or hallway.

The story behind Stilnovo

Stilnovo was founded in Milan in 1946 by Bruno Gatta, and this graphic black finish gives Gae Aulenti and Piero Castiglioni's design a distinctly contemporary edge.
