The Megafono Table Lamp in Gold and Ivory is an Italian designed table light with a swivelling double cone shade on a brass stem, casting both direct and indirect light from a single source. First designed in the 1950s, it remains one of Stilnovo's most recognised silhouettes.

Gold and ivory finish

The glossy ivory shade rotates to throw light exactly where you want it, angled upward for a soft wash or downward for something more focused. The brass stem, finished in galvanic gold, carries real weight in the hand.

How it works

Two E14 LED bulbs are included. The fitting isn't compatible with dimmer switches, so brightness is fixed once switched on; the swivelling shade is your main control over how the light falls.

Where it works best

It suits a bedside table, a hallway console, a study desk or a living room sideboard, bringing a sculptural note wherever it lands.

The story behind Stilnovo

Stilnovo was founded in Milan in 1946 by Bruno Gatta, and pieces like Megafono, designed in the following decade, still carry that founding instinct for treating light as a piece of engineering and sculpture together.
