Stilnovo Megafono 1 Arm Wall Light - Gold & Black

The Stilnovo Megafono 1 Arm Wall Light in Gold and Black is a single arm wall fitting with one swivelling glossy black cone shade on a brass backplate finished in gold.

The black shade gives this version of the Megafono a slightly more graphic look than the ivory original, though the mechanics are unchanged: the cone rotates on its brass joint so you can point it up for a wash of reflected light or out into the room for something more direct. It's a design that has barely dated since the 1950s, which says a good deal about how well it was resolved the first time round.

Built from brass and metal, it's a light designed to be handled and adjusted, not simply switched on, and it works well in a hallway, a kitchen, a bedroom, or as one of a pair either side of a dining room mirror. Two E14 LED bulbs are supplied, though dimming isn't supported on this fitting.

Because it's produced to order rather than pulled from stock, it can't be returned once purchased, so it's worth confirming the finish and position beforehand. We'd recommend a registered NICEIC electrician for the installation.
