Stilnovo Bugia Table Lamp - Black

The Stilnovo Bugia Table Lamp in Black is made entirely from glass, takes a single 4.5W E27 LED bulb on a 2m cable, and is rated IP20 for dry indoor use.

Unlike the wall lights in the collection, which combine iron with glass, the table lamp is cast in glass throughout, so the black colourway gives it a dense, almost sculptural quality rather than the flatter finish you'd get from metal. Roberto Beretta and Antonio Macchi Cassia based the design on the traditional Italian bugia candle holder, keeping its distinctive loop handle as the piece's defining detail. It suits a bedside table, a living room shelf, a hallway console or a desk in a home office, anywhere a small, tactile object of light is wanted.

Behind it stands Stilnovo, founded in Milan in 1946 by Bruno Gatta with an ethos of treating lighting as engineering, art and architecture together. The brand's quality is spoken of alongside names such as Flos, Artemide, Nemo and Oluce, a standard this lamp is held to as well. It offers a fixed level of light rather than dimming.
