Stilnovo Bugia 1 Light Wall Light - Black

The Stilnovo Bugia 1 Light Wall Light in Black is a single-arm wall light built from iron and glass, fitted with one 4.5W E27 LED bulb and rated IP20 for use in dry rooms.

The Bugia collection, designed by Roberto Beretta and Antonio Macchi Cassia, takes its form from the old Italian bugia, a handheld candle holder distinguished by its looped carrying handle. In matte black, that nostalgic shape becomes something far more graphic and contemporary, working equally well as a single accent or repeated along a wall in a hallway, living room, bedroom or dining room. The iron arm and glass diffuser are well matched, giving the piece a reassuring sense of weight without looking heavy handed.

Stilnovo's own story stretches back to 1946, when founder Bruno Gatta established the house in Milan as one of the names that went on to define the Italian Modernist lighting movement alongside the likes of Arredoluce and Arteluce. That heritage of considered engineering and finish still underpins pieces like this one. The fitting is not dimmable, giving a fixed, dependable output.

Because it's produced to order in black rather than held ready made, this wall light cannot be returned once it's gone into production. Fitting by a registered NICEIC electrician is recommended.
