The Steinel XLED ONE S in white is an outdoor LED security light with a built in motion sensor. It switches on when someone approaches and off again after a time you set. It gives 2050 lumens from 18.6W, and the infrared sensor has a reach of 12 metres across 180 degrees. That makes it a practical outdoor sensor floodlight for a driveway, courtyard or the walls around your home.

White Aluminium with a Tilting LED Panel

The housing is aluminium in a clean white finish, with a slim angled bracket that lets the light sit on a wall or a ceiling. The LED panel tilts through 180 degrees, so you can aim the beam where it is needed, and the sensor sits in a rounded head just below the panel. The cooling is passive, with no fan or moving parts. Steinel also makes this model in anthracite if white does not suit your exterior.

How It Works

A passive infrared sensor detects movement and switches the light on. Two dials on the unit set how long it stays on, from 8 seconds to 35 minutes, and the twilight level it responds to, from 2 to 2000 lux, so it can stay off in daylight. The reach is 12 metres when someone walks across the sensor's view, and about 3 metres when they walk straight towards it. The maximum mounting height is 3 metres. The integrated Steinel LED gives warm white light at 3000K with a CRI of 80 to 89. It runs from a 220 to 240V mains supply and is a Class I fitting, rated IP44 and IK03. Where It Works Best

Steinel suggests it for all round the building, including a courtyard and driveway. It can be fitted to a wall or a ceiling with surface wiring, so it suits an entrance, a garage front, a carport or a side passage where you want light on arrival. It is rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water from any direction.
