A Switched Outdoor Floodlight in Graphite

The Steinel XLED Home 2 M in graphite is a wall mounted outdoor LED floodlight without a built in motion sensor. It is an outdoor security light you switch on and off yourself, from a wall switch or other control, and it draws 13.7W from an integrated Steinel LED system. The wide flat panel suits lighting a driveway, courtyard or the front of a house.

Graphite Finish with an Opal Cover

The housing is a dark graphite grey, with a flat opal cover over the LED panel for soft, even light across a wide area. The panel swivels freely on its bracket, 180 degrees horizontally and vertically, so you can aim it where you need it. The body is made from a magnesium composite that Steinel calls HCMC, with ribbed cooling fins on the back that help draw heat away from the LEDs. This version has no sensor head, so the bracket stays plain and uncluttered.

How It Works

This model has no sensor and no twilight control, so it lights whenever it is switched on. The integrated LED runs at 13.7W and 3000K warm white, with a CRI of 80 to 89. It runs from a 220 to 240V, 50 to 60Hz mains supply and is a Class II fitting. Steinel also makes sensor versions of the XLED Home 2 if you want the light to switch itself on. Where It Works Best

Steinel suggests it for all round the building: a courtyard, a driveway, a terrace or balcony. It fixes to a wall or corner with surface wiring and is rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water from any direction.
