Steinel L 810 SC Anthracite - Sensor-Switched LED Outdoor Light

A Slim Sensor Wall Light for Entrances

The Steinel L 810 SC in anthracite is a wall mounted outdoor LED light with a built in motion sensor and Bluetooth control. It switches on as someone approaches and gives 679 lumens from 9.8W at 3000K warm white. The sensor covers 160 degrees with a reach of up to 5 metres, so it works well as a stylish outdoor security light for a front door, garage or terrace. Light spills softly up and down the wall from the long, low housing.

Anthracite Aluminium with an Opal Diffuser

This version has a dark anthracite finish on an aluminium and plastic body, with a white opal diffuser that glows along the top and bottom edges. Steinel also makes the L 810 SC in other finishes, so check the colour before you order. The sensor is hidden inside the housing, so nothing breaks up the clean outline. Steinel states the LED is part of its own lighting system and is built in.

How It Works

The L 810 SC uses Steinel's intelligent high frequency sensor, which picks up movement through the housing rather than through a visible lens. The detection zone can be adjusted on two axes, and you set how long the light stays on and the twilight level it responds to, from 2 to 2000 lux. The light starts up softly rather than snapping on, and a manual override keeps it lit for 4 hours when you want it on. You can set it up and control it with the free Steinel Connect app over Bluetooth, and link it wirelessly to other Steinel Bluetooth lights. The best mounting height is 1.8 to 2.5 metres, with 2 metres ideal. It runs from a 220 to 240V mains supply and is a Class II fitting rated IP44 and IK03. We always recommend a qualified electrician installs this fitting.

Where It Works Best

Steinel suggests it for the garden, the front door, a courtyard or driveway, a terrace or balcony, and all round the building. It fits on a wall with surface wiring. IP44 means it is protected against splashing water from any direction.
