This is the lamped version of the Slot 50: a low column of rusted steel that hides its light source behind a narrow cut rather than an open top, so during the day it reads simply as a weathered steel post and only becomes a line of light once a lamp is fitted and switched on.

Where It Sits in the Rusty Family

At 50cm it is the shorter of the two Slot heights, sitting below the 80cm version and suited to lower planting where a taller column would compete with the greenery around it. Unlike the round Rusty or square Rusty Square bollards, which throw light openly from the top, the Slot design channels it sideways through the seam.

How It Works

The body is FeCSi steel, given a controlled chemical treatment to produce its rust patina. It takes a single E27 lamp of up to 11W (lamp not included), so you choose the exact light source and colour temperature yourself. It runs from a 230V mains supply and carries an IP44 rating, suited to sheltered or partially covered outdoor spots rather than fully open, driving rain exposed ground. It sits on the surface as standard, with an earth spike available separately for softer soil.

Where It Works Best

A good fit for a sheltered courtyard, a covered side passage, or the edge of a patio under an overhang, where its indirect glow can do its work without taking the full brunt of the weather.
