Light Thrown Both Ways From One Square Fixture
Fit this at gate pillars or either side of a doorway and it does two jobs from one body: a cone of light pushed up the wall and an identical cone pushed down, both from a compact anthracite housing that reads as understated by day.
Choosing Your Finish
This Up/Down Wall Light comes in anthracite, shown here, or in a lighter Silver Grey if your walls are pale render or stone. Anthracite tends to disappear against dark brick, timber cladding or charcoal render, letting the two cones of light do the talking rather than the fixture itself. For a single direction of light rather than two, the plain Big Theo Wall Light shares the same body without the second socket.
How It Works
Two GU10 sockets are built into the housing, one facing up and one facing down, each taking a QPAR111 reflector lamp rated up to 75W, 150W maximum for the pair. Because both sockets are identical, the two cones of light match each other in spread and intensity. The fixture wires directly into a 230 to 240V mains supply and is IP44 rated for outdoor use.
Where It Works Best
Works well used as a pair either side of an entrance, framing a front door, garage or gate pillar with matching light above and below the fixture. It also suits a run of boundary or garden wall lights where a rhythm of up and down cones is more interesting than a single flat wash.

Questions People Ask
Is the light the same strength up and down? Yes, both sockets are identical and take the same QPAR111 lamp up to 75W, so the cones above and below the fixture match each other in spread and intensity.
Should I fit these on their own or in twos? They work best as a pair, one either side of a door, garage or gate pillar, so the matching light above and below reads as a deliberate frame rather than a single point of light.
What kind of bulb does each socket take? Each socket takes a QPAR111 reflector lamp rated up to 75W, with the lamps themselves sold separately.
