This is the most theatrical member of the Big Theo family. Rather than two matching cones, it pairs a narrow, almost architectural beam thrown upward with a broad, gentle flood cast down, so the same fixture reads as a highlight and a wash at once.

Choosing Your Finish

This LED version is available in anthracite, a deep charcoal that keeps the fixture itself understated so the contrast between the tight beam and the wide flood does the visual work. If you would rather have two equal cones instead of one narrow and one wide, the Big Theo Flood Up/Down LED Wall Light uses the same integrated LED engine in a symmetrical pattern, and pairs neatly with the anthracite Big Theo Ceiling Light if you are lighting a porch as well as a wall.

How It Works

Two integrated LEDs are built into the housing with a driver wired for direct connection to 230 to 240V mains, so there is no separate lamp to source or replace. The upper LED throws a tight 2 degree beam, while the lower LED spreads a much wider 24 degree flood, together drawing 29W and producing 2130 lumens at a warm 3000K colour temperature (CRI80). SLV rates the LEDs for around 25,000 hours of use. The aluminium and glass housing carries an IP44 rating and IK02 impact resistance for exposed outdoor walls.

Where It Works Best

Choose this one where you want a lighting effect as much as illumination, either side of a feature door, along a rendered gable end, or anywhere the contrast between a sharp upward beam and a soft downward flood will read as intentional. It suits contemporary facades more than traditional ones, where the visual drama of the two different cones can stand out.

Will I ever need to replace the LEDs? The two LEDs are built into the fixture and rated for around 25,000 hours of use, so under normal use you should not need to think about replacing them.

What is actually different between the beam and the flood? The upper LED throws a tight 2 degree beam upward while the lower LED spreads a much wider 24 degree flood downward, giving a sharp highlight above and a soft wash below from the same fixture.
