Picking Your Finish

This version comes in a crisp matte white that suits bright hallways and freshly decorated rooms, but the same cylindrical body is also available in Black for a bolder outline and in Grey for something quieter in between. All three share the identical fitting and light output, so the choice comes down to how much you want the fixture itself to be seen.

How It Works

The body is cast from aluminium and holds two GU10 lamp holders, one facing up and one facing down, each sitting behind its own glass cover that softens and spreads the beam rather than leaving a harsh point of light. It is designed for GU10 halogen lamps up to 10W per socket and will also take an LED GU10 retrofit if you prefer lower running costs from the same warm glow. It wires directly into a 220 to 240V mains supply and carries an IP20 rating, so it belongs in dry indoor rooms rather than anywhere exposed to rain or spray.

Where It Works Best

Try it in pairs either side of a mirror, along a staircase wall, or flanking a doorway, where the up and down spread reads as considered rather than accidental. White reflects a good deal of its own light back off the wall, so it tends to feel softer and more ambient in a room than the Black or Grey versions, which throw a sharper contrast against pale paint.

Can this take an LED bulb instead of halogen? Yes, each of the two GU10 sockets accepts an LED retrofit lamp up to 10W, so you can switch to LED for lower running costs without changing anything else about the fitting.

Is it suitable for a bathroom or anywhere exposed to weather? No, it carries an IP20 rating, which means it belongs in dry indoor rooms rather than a bathroom or an exterior wall.

How is the White version different from the Black or Grey ones? Nothing changes but the colour. The fitting, light output and dimensions are identical across all three, so it really is just a question of which one you want to see on the wall.
