Built for the outside of the house rather than the inside, this Astina throws the same confident up and down beam as its indoor sibling but is rated to cope with wind and rain. In anthracite it sits against render or brick almost unnoticed by day, then frames a doorway or path in warm light after dark.

Picking Your Finish

Anthracite gives a soft charcoal tone that suits stone, brick and most render colours without demanding attention in daylight. The same outdoor body is also available in a brushed Aluminium finish for a more metallic look, and in White for pale render or modern facades. All three share the same construction and output, so pick whichever finish sits best against your walls.

How It Works

The body is cast aluminium with a glass cover over each of its two GU10 lamp holders, positioned to throw two matching cones of light up and down the wall. SLV rates it for GU10 lamps up to 11W per socket, halogen or LED retrofit, wired directly to the mains. Its IP44 rating means it is protected against splashing water from any direction, making it suitable for covered or exposed exterior walls.

Where It Works Best

Use it either side of a front door, along a garden wall or up a run of exterior steps, where the paired beams help mark a route after dark. Because anthracite is one of the deeper tones in the range, it tends to disappear into the wall by day more completely than the white version, showing its full character only once switched on.
