A Pinwheel of Light for the Ceiling or Wall
This version of Zendisc takes a different sculptural route from the rest of the range: three curved arcs sweep out from a small central disc, each one lit from within, forming a pinwheel or eye like pattern depending on the angle you catch it from. It's a flush fitting that still reads as a design object once the light is on.
Matt Black Metal and Silicone
Like the rest of the Zendisc range, the frame is finished in matt black metal with silicone forming the glowing channels. The dark background makes the three curved arms stand out clearly, and the small solid disc at the centre grounds the pattern. At 39cm across and 5cm deep, it stays close to the ceiling or wall surface.
How It Works
- Integrated LED strip, no bulbs to buy or change
- 20W output at 800 lumens, warm white 3000K colour temperature
- Dimmable in 3 stages using a standard wall switch, no separate dimmer module needed
- Can be fitted to a ceiling or a wall, depending on where you need the light
- Class II electrical rating (double insulated, no earth connection required)
- Best installed by a qualified electrician
Where It Works Best
The pinwheel pattern works well as a focal point in a living room or dining area, especially over a table or seating group where people will look up and notice the shape. It also suits an entrance hall or landing where you want something more distinctive than a plain disc.
Good to Know
- Comes with a 5 year warranty from Searchlight
- Wipe the black metal frame and silicone channels with a soft, dry cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners
- Check our returns policy on the delivery and returns page for details on sending items back
- The 3 stage dimming works through your existing wall switch, no smart controls or app needed
Questions People Ask
What shape does this Zendisc light form?
Three curved arcs sweep outward from a small central disc, forming a pinwheel like pattern that stays visible whether the light is on or off.
Is this the same design as other Zendisc lights?
No. Searchlight uses the Zendisc name across a small range of sculptural flush lights with different patterns. This version has a three arm pinwheel shape rather than the interlocking teardrop design used elsewhere in the range.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes. It dims in 3 stages through your existing wall switch, without needing a separate dimmer or smart control.
Does it require an earth wire?
No. It has a Class II electrical rating, meaning it's double insulated and doesn't need an earth connection.
