A sculptural wall light that doubles as wall art

The Swizzle wall light brings the same idea as the pendant version to a wall mounted fixture, a half circle of smoked glass rods set against a matt black backplate. It projects out from the wall by only 12.5cm, so it adds texture and a warm pool of light without encroaching on the room, and it looks considered even when unlit.

The backplate is finished in matt black, and the smoked glass rods sit vertically across the front, catching and softening the light from the single bulb behind them rather than exposing it directly. It suits the same black ironmongery, dark woodwork and smoked glass accents as the rest of the Swizzle range, so it's an easy match if you're using more than one Swizzle fixture in a scheme.

How It Works

• Takes 1 x E27 bulb, sold separately. Around 6W LED (60W incandescent equivalent) is the closest match to the fixture's original design
• Measures 25cm in width and 26cm in height, projecting 12.5cm from the wall
• Works with a dimmer switch, provided the bulb and dimmer are both dimmable and compatible with each other
• Fixed directly to the wall via a matt black backplate, with all fixings included

Where It Works Best

Its shallow projection and sculptural front make it well suited to hallways and staircases, where wall lights need to stay close to the wall, as well as either side of a bed, along a landing, or as a pair flanking a mirror or fireplace. It works in living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and hallways wherever a soft, layered wash of light is more useful than an overhead pendant.
