The Swizzle table lamp turns a simple idea into a real focal point. Rows of slim glass rods run the full height of the base, catching the light and adding movement to what would otherwise be a plain metal column.

Matt Black With a White Linen Shade

This version pairs a matt black rod base with a plain white linen drum shade. The smoked glass rods sit between black metal top and base discs, giving the column a slightly moody, reflective look, while the white linen shade keeps the light itself soft and even. It works well against pale walls or alongside other black metal furniture.

Where It Works Best

As a matt black table lamp it suits console tables, sideboards and desks where the rod base can be seen properly. Stand two either side of a bed for balanced bedside lighting in a main or guest bedroom, or use it on its own in a living room, dining room or hallway for a small pool of warm, ambient light.

Is the Swizzle table lamp dimmable?
No. This lamp is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed brightness once switched on.

What bulb does it take?
It takes a single E27 bulb. We would suggest an LED bulb of around 4W, which gives a similar brightness to an old 40W incandescent bulb, and the bulb is sold separately.

Will the black base match other black fittings in the room?
Yes. The base has a matt black finish with smoked glass rods, so it pairs easily with other matt black lighting or hardware.

Is the shade white or cream?
The shade is a plain white linen, giving a soft, warm glow rather than a bright white light.
