A Wall Light With Its Own Switch

The Sweden 1 Light Wall Light takes the same smoked glass cylinder shade as the flush ceiling versions and mounts it on a black metal arm, with a pull cord switch built into the base plate so you can turn it on without a separate wall switch.

Matt Black Finish, Smoked Glass Shade

The arm and circular backplate are finished in matt black, and the smoked glass shade fades from clear to charcoal, letting the bulb show through as a warm point of light rather than hiding it completely. It suits the same rooms as the ceiling versions in the Sweden range, so you can mix and match wall and ceiling lights from the same collection.

How It Works

• Takes a single E27 bulb (not supplied). We would suggest around 6W LED (60W incandescent equivalent) for a similar brightness to the traditional bulb this fixture was designed around.
• Built in pull cord switch on the base plate, so the light can be turned on and off independently of the room's main switch.
• Dimmable, as long as you use dimmable LED bulbs with a compatible dimmer switch.
• Class II construction, so it does not need an earth connection.
• Wall mounted on a fixed arm, measuring 24cm high and 15cm wide, projecting 20cm out from the wall.

Where It Works Best

Rated IP20, so it is designed for dry indoor rooms such as hallways, living rooms, bedrooms and dining rooms. The built in pull cord switch makes it a practical choice either side of a bed or on a landing, where reaching for a separate wall switch is not always convenient.
