A Spike Spotlight for Lighting Up Borders and Trees
The Searchlight Southbank is a black garden spotlight on a ground spike, designed to push into a border or lawn and aim light up at planting, trees or other features after dark.
Materials and Finish
The body is stainless steel, finished in black, with an adjustable head so you can angle the beam where you want it.
How It Works
It takes a GU10 bulb, which isn't included, and can be dimmed if a dimmable bulb is fitted. It's a Class I fitting that needs to be earthed, and as with any outdoor electrical fitting, it should always be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
With an IP65 rating, the Southbank is built to withstand direct exposure to rain, so it suits garden borders, flower beds and lawns where it will be out in the weather all year round.

Does it come with a bulb?
No, it takes a single GU10 bulb which needs to be bought separately.
Can this light be dimmed?
Yes, as long as a dimmable GU10 bulb is fitted. With a non dimmable bulb it will just run at full brightness.
Is it tough enough for a spot that gets direct rain?
Yes, it's rated IP65, which means it's protected against low pressure water jets and built for fully exposed outdoor spots.
Can I angle the light once it's in the ground?
Yes, the head tilts on its bracket so you can aim the beam at a specific tree, shrub or feature.
