A Graphic Cage Silhouette in Matt Black
The Simpson 3 Light Ceiling Pendant takes a classic hanging lantern shape and strips it back to a bold geometric cage, finished in matt black. Three exposed candle bulbs sit inside the open frame, so the fitting reads as much like a piece of modern sculpture as a light source.
Materials and Finish
The cage and ceiling rose are built from mild steel and finished in a flat matt black that will not show fingerprints or dust the way a gloss finish can. The angular, faceted shape of the frame catches light differently from every angle, giving the pendant real presence even when it is switched off.
How It Works
Three E14 candle bulbs (not included) sit inside the cage, and the fitting is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs, so you can set the mood as well as the light level. The chain suspension means the drop height can be adjusted at installation to suit your ceiling, up to a maximum drop of around 120cm. This is a Class I fixture, which means it needs to be properly earthed, so we would always recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.
Where It Works Best
The open cage design and compact 35cm width make this a versatile choice for living rooms, kitchens and dining rooms, particularly hung low over a dining table or kitchen island where the exposed bulbs can do their work. It also suits a run of two or three spaced along a kitchen worktop or breakfast bar.
