The Searchlight Samuel 40cm Picture Light in satin brass with polished brass detailing gives this compact picture light a warmer, more traditional finish.
Materials and Finish
Made from mild steel, aluminium and silicone, finished in satin brass with polished brass detailing.
How It Works
It has a 1 x 8.2W integrated LED producing 503 lumens at a warm 3000K colour temperature, controlled via a gold rocker switch on the fixture. It isn't dimmable or adjustable. As a Class I fixture it needs an earth connection and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
Suits living rooms, dining rooms, hallways and home offices, particularly above a smaller piece of artwork or a mirror.

Can the Samuel picture light be dimmed?
No. It has a fixed integrated LED that isn't dimmable or adjustable, so the brightness stays constant once it's switched on.
Where is the switch?
It's built into the fixture itself, a gold rocker switch that matches the brass finish, so there's no separate wall switch to fit.
Can I replace the bulb if it fails?
No. The LED is integrated into the fixture rather than a separate replaceable bulb, and the light is covered by a 5 year warranty.
Is this light suitable for a bathroom?
No. It's rated IP20, which means it's designed for dry indoor rooms only and shouldn't be fitted in a bathroom or other damp location.
What size artwork or mirror does it suit?
At 40cm wide with a 13cm projection, it's best suited to smaller to medium pieces of artwork or a mirror rather than a large statement piece.
