This version pairs a warm antique brass frame with a seeded glass drum, a textured glass that carries small trapped bubbles rather than being perfectly clear. The combination softens the two exposed bulbs slightly while still letting plenty of light through, and the brass tone works well against darker walls or alongside other aged metal fittings.

How It Works

• Takes 2 x E27 candle bulbs, sold separately
• Each bulb position suits around 6W LED (60W incandescent equivalent), the modern replacement for the old style 60W candle bulb
• Dimmable, provided you fit dimmable LED bulbs and pair the fitting with a compatible dimmer switch
• Fixes flush to the ceiling, with the seeded glass drum secured by a central brass finial
• Measures 33cm in diameter and 15cm in height

No. Preston takes 2 x E27 candle bulbs, which are sold separately so you can choose the brightness and colour temperature you prefer.

Can I use this with a dimmer switch?
Yes, as long as you fit dimmable LED bulbs and use a dimmer switch designed to work with LED loads. Standard, non dimmable bulbs will not dim even on a compatible switch.

What does seeded glass look like?
Seeded glass is a textured glass with small trapped air bubbles running through it, giving the drum shade a slightly uneven, handmade look rather than a perfectly clear finish.
