The Percy is a statement multi drop pendant from Searchlight Electric, its 55 individual lights tumbling together into a dramatic cluster overhead. Mixed copper, chrome and satin brass finishes catch the light from every angle, giving it a layered, sculptural quality that works as well as art as it does as illumination. It spans 140cm wide with a maximum drop of 323cm, so it asks for a genuinely tall space to hang in.

Materials and Finish

The frame is built from mild steel, with acrylic and crystal sand drops finished in a mix of copper, chrome and satin brass. The combination of warm metallic tones and textured glass gives each drop its own character, so no two areas of the cluster look quite the same. The crystal sand finish has a granular sparkle that is most visible once the LEDs are lit; unlit, in daylight, or in photographs the drops tend to read as a softer, more frosted white.

How It Works

Each drop uses an integrated LED module, which cannot be replaced once it reaches the end of its life, running at a warm 4000K and producing a combined output of around 15500 lumens between all 55 lights. It is dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch, and the individual drop heights are adjustable so the cluster can be shaped to suit your ceiling. As a Class I fixture it must be earthed, so installation by a registered NICEIC electrician is recommended.
