A Two In One Reading Light With Its Own Fabric Shade
The Oakes pairs a satin silver wall light with a soft white rectangular shade and a separate flexible arm reading light, so you get gentle ambient light and a focused beam from the very same fitting.

How It Works
The main shade takes one E27 GLS bulb up to 60W (not included) and is compatible with dimmable bulbs, while a separate flexible arm carries its own integrated 1W LED reading light that bends into the position you need. Both lights are controlled independently from a dual switch built into the wall plate, so you can use the shade, the reading light, or both together. As a Class I fixture it needs to be earthed, so installation by a qualified electrician is required.

Does the Oakes have one light or two?
It has two. A fabric shade gives soft ambient light from an E27 bulb, and a separate flexible arm carries its own integrated LED reading light, and each is switched independently.
Can I use the reading light without the main shade on?
Yes. The dual switch on the wall plate lets you turn the shade and the reading light on or off separately, so you can use either one on its own or both together.
Can I replace the bulb in the reading arm?
No. The reading light uses an integrated 1W LED that is built into the flexible arm rather than a replaceable bulb. The main shade takes a separate E27 GLS bulb, which is not included.
Does the Oakes need to be installed by an electrician?
Yes. It is wired to Class I and needs to be earthed, so installation by a registered electrician, such as one on the NICEIC register, is recommended.
