Two Lights in One, Ambient and Reading
The Oakes wall light combines a fixed shade for ambient light with a separate flexible arm carrying its own integrated LED spotlight, so you get general wall light and a directional reading light from the same fitting. Everything is finished in polished chrome with a soft white fabric shade.
Materials and Finish
The frame is made from mild steel, finished in chrome, with a rectangular white fabric shade over the main light.
How It Works
The main shade takes an E27 GLS bulb, not included, and works with dimmable bulbs. The separate flexible arm has its own built in LED spotlight that bends into position, so you can point it exactly where you need it, for example onto a book. A built in switch controls the fitting without needing a separate wall switch. This is a Class I fixture, which requires earthing. It should always be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
The combination of ambient light and a directional reading arm makes the Oakes a good fit either side of a bed, and it also works well in living rooms, dining rooms and hallways.
