This Newton Square is finished in an anodised gold over a body of ceramic and aluminium. The brushed metallic surface catches the light along its edges and warms up further once the bulb is lit, since the light glancing off the inside of the cube picks up a soft golden cast. It suits brass and warm metal schemes, and works nicely against dark paint or timber where the gold has real contrast to sit against.
