The Searchlight Mela LED Outdoor Wall Light with PIR Sensor is a modern aluminium wall light built specifically for outdoor security and porch lighting, switching on automatically when its motion sensor detects movement nearby.
Materials and finish
Made from stainless steel and aluminium, it has a clean, understated finish that suits contemporary house exteriors.
How it works
The LED light source is integrated and not replaceable, producing around 700 lumens at a cool 4000K colour temperature, and it is not dimmable. Built in PIR motion sensing switches the light on when movement is detected, so it works well without a separate switch. As a Class I fitting, it needs to be earthed and should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
With an IP44 rating, this is an outdoor wall light with PIR sensor suited to porches, front doors, driveways and side passages where automatic security lighting is useful.
