The Lara pendant is built to be noticed. A wide brushed gold ring holds a dense curtain of clear glass rods that fall in tiers above and below the frame, catching the light from every angle. It has the glamour of Art Deco design but the clean, uncluttered shape sits just as well in a contemporary room as a traditional one.

The Gold and Glass Rod Finish

This six light version brings a full, layered look to the ceiling. The brushed gold frame gives a warm, understated shine rather than a high polish, while the clear glass rods hang in two distinct tiers, one skimming just below the ring and a second cascading further down at the centre. Lit from within, the rods scatter soft points of light through the room rather than a single bright glow.

Lara is designed as a centrepiece rather than a background light, so it earns its place somewhere with a bit of ceiling height, over a dining table, in a double height entrance hall, or above a console table in a hallway. Because the glass rods let light through in every direction, it also works well in an open plan living or dining space where you want the light to reach the whole room.
