The Heaton wall light takes the shape of an open rectangular box, with a single bulb held at its centre on a short stem. The cage sits flush to the wall and leaves the bulb visible from every side, giving a warm, directional glow rather than a diffused wash. An integral pull cord switch lets it be operated independently of a wall switch.

Brushed Gold and Silver, With an Aged Edge

The metal box frame carries a brushed silver base with warm gold undertones showing through, giving it a slightly weathered, antique looking finish rather than a flat, uniform metal. It suits industrial and rustic interiors particularly well, and adds warmth next to darker walls or exposed brick.

• Takes 1 x E27 bulb, sold separately. A bulb of around 6W LED (60W incandescent equivalent) is the closest modern match to the fitting's original rating.
• Dimmable, provided a dimmable LED bulb is fitted and paired with a compatible dimmer switch.
• Fitted with an integral pull cord switch, so the light can be turned on and off at the fitting itself.
• Wired to Class II (double insulated), so it does not require an earth connection.

Where It Works Best

At a compact 15cm wide and 24cm high, the Heaton works well as a pair either side of a mirror or headboard, in a hallway, or as accent lighting along a landing or living room wall. Because the bulb is left exposed inside an open cage, it throws light both up and down the wall, making it a good choice for adding warmth to a corridor or reading nook rather than lighting a whole room on its own.
