The Glossop pendant takes the shape of an old fashioned railway shade and updates it with ribbed glass and a mix of black and brass hardware. The wide, shallow dome throws light both downward and out through the glass, so it lights a room rather than just the table beneath it. It suits both traditional and more contemporary interiors equally well.

The shade itself is clear ribbed glass, which breaks up the light into soft vertical lines rather than one flat glow. A black lamp holder sits inside a brass cage at the top, and the ceiling rose is finished in matching black. Together they give the pendant a slightly industrial edge without losing the warmth of the glass.

• Works with a dimmer switch when fitted with a dimmable LED bulb
• Adjustable suspension cable, up to a maximum drop of 150cm
• Ceiling mounted and hardwired; installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician

Where It Works Best

The Glossop works well on its own over a small dining table or reading corner, and just as well repeated in twos or threes over a kitchen island or a longer table. Its glass shade also makes it a good choice for a hallway or landing, where you want light to spread rather than stay directional.
