A Ring of Light in Black and Gold

The Gilbert flush brings together a brushed gold ring, black detailing and two adjustable spotlights in one compact ceiling fitting. A continuous strip of integrated LED glows softly around the full circumference, while the two spotlights let you angle a little extra light exactly where it's needed.

How It Works

The Gilbert combines two ways to light a room in one fitting. A continuous ring of integrated LED sits behind a knurled acrylic diffuser, giving soft, even ambient light around its full circumference. Two adjustable spotlights are mounted on the black bar in the centre, so you can angle extra light exactly where you want it, over a worktop or reading spot for example. Together they're rated at 37.8W and 1363 lumens, with a warm 2700K colour temperature, and the fixture is dimmable with a suitable LED dimmer such as a V-Pro rotary dimmer switch. This is a Class I fixture, which needs to be properly earthed. We always recommend having it installed by a qualified, registered NICEIC electrician.

Questions People Ask

Can I dim this light?
Yes. The Gilbert flush is dimmable when used with a compatible LED dimmer switch, such as a V-Pro rotary dimmer. A standard non LED dimmer is not suitable.

Can I replace the bulbs if they stop working?
No. The LED light source is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced individually. It's rated for many years of normal use, and the fixture carries a 5 year warranty.

What do the two spotlights let me do?
They sit on the central bar and can be angled independently, so you can add focused light on top of the ring's ambient glow, for example over a worktop, dining table or reading spot.

Can I install this myself?
This is a Class I fixture, which needs to be properly earthed. We always recommend having it installed by a qualified, registered NICEIC electrician rather than fitting it yourself.

Is this light suitable for a bathroom?
No. The Gilbert flush has an IP20 rating, which means it's designed for dry indoor rooms only, such as a living room, kitchen, bedroom, dining room, hallway or office. It isn't suitable for bathrooms or other damp locations.
