Will these bulbs work with my existing dimmer switch?
This pack of Searchlight E27 GLS bulbs is dimmable, but only when used with a dimmer switch that is rated as compatible with LED bulbs. Check your existing dimmer's own specification if you are unsure, as an older dimmer designed for halogen bulbs may not work correctly with LEDs.
What size fitting do these bulbs need?
These bulbs have an E27 base, the standard large Edison screw cap, 27mm across, found in most UK table lamps, pendants and ceiling fittings.
Can these bulbs be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. These bulbs are rated IP20, which means they are designed for dry, indoor use only and are not suitable for bathrooms or other damp or outdoor locations.
What does 4000K mean for the colour of the light?
4000K is a warm white light, brighter and slightly cooler than a traditional yellowish incandescent glow, but still comfortable for everyday living spaces rather than a stark cool white.
