Searchlight Deluge LED Flush - Black & Crystal Glass

A Ceiling Light With Real Sparkle

The Deluge flush ceiling light turns a plain ceiling into a small event. A black plated base sits flush against the ceiling, and below it hangs a dense cascade of faceted glass drops that catch and scatter the light. It looks like a chandelier without any of the hanging chain, which makes it a good fit for rooms with lower ceilings.

Black and Crystal Glass

This version pairs a black plated finish with clear faceted glass drops arranged in a tumbling, irregular cluster beneath the disc. The contrast between the matte black surround and the sparkle of the glass gives the light a bit of drama without it feeling fussy. It suits contemporary schemes as well as rooms with darker, moodier palettes.

How It Works

• Integrated LED module rated at 20W, producing 1888 lumens of warm white light at 3000K
• Compatible with a trailing edge dimmer, so brightness can be adjusted to suit the room
• Made from iron and acrylic, Class II double insulated for safety
• Fixes flush to the ceiling, with no chain or rod needed
• Measures approximately 15cm in height and 32cm across

We recommend that this fitting is installed by a qualified electrician.

Where It Works Best

The Deluge suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways and kitchens, particularly where the ceiling isn't tall enough for a hanging pendant or chandelier. In a dining room it works well as the sole light over a table. In a hallway or landing, it adds a moment of sparkle without taking up any floor or wall space. Searchlight suggests fitting two side by side in larger, lower ceilinged rooms for a more balanced spread of light.

Questions People Ask

• Can the Deluge be dimmed? Yes, it's compatible with a trailing edge dimmer switch, so you can lower the light for evenings or raise it for tasks.
• Can I replace the bulb if it stops working? No, the LED is integrated into the fitting rather than a replaceable bulb, so if the LED itself fails the unit would need to be replaced.
• Is this light suitable for a low ceiling? Yes, because it sits flush against the ceiling with no hanging rod or chain, it works well in rooms where a pendant or chandelier wouldn't have enough clearance.
• What colour temperature does it give off? The integrated LED is set to 3000K, which gives a warm white glow similar to traditional halogen lighting.
