The Cyls wall light keeps things simple. It's a clean aluminium cylinder that fixes flush to the wall and sends a single, focused wash of light downward, adding a soft glow without competing with the rest of the room. If you want understated modern lighting that does its job quietly, this is it.

This version comes in an anodised sand white finish, a soft, slightly textured white that sits happily against painted walls in almost any shade. The anodising process also makes the surface more resistant to knocks and corrosion than a standard painted finish, so it holds its look over time. At 10cm high and 6.5cm wide, it's compact enough to use in pairs or run along a wall without overwhelming the space.

How It Works

• Takes one GU10 bulb, rated up to 10W, sold separately
• Fixes directly to the wall over a concealed baseplate, hardwired to the mains
• Casts light downward only, in a soft circular pool below the fixture
• Dimmable when fitted with a dimmable GU10 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch
• Class I fitting, so it must be wired to an earthed supply

Where It Works Best

Because it only throws light downward, Cyls is best used as gentle accent lighting rather than a main light source. Try it in a hallway to wash light down a wall, either side of a front door, above a console table, or spaced along a landing. It also works well in bedrooms and living rooms as a low level accent alongside your main ceiling light.
