A Flush Ceiling Light Built From Four Overlapping Rings
The Searchlight Cantsfield brings a sculptural, modern shape to a ceiling with four oval LED rings arranged in a loose chain, finished in matt black. It sits close to the ceiling as a flush fitting, so it works well in rooms with lower ceiling heights where a pendant would hang too low.
Materials and Finish
The frame is made from mild steel and aluminium with PVC detailing, finished in matt black that reads as a deep, non reflective charcoal rather than a true gloss black. The matt surface hides dust and fingerprints better than a polished finish, which suits a ceiling fitting that is rarely dusted from above.
How It Works
Each ring houses an integrated LED strip that cannot be replaced once it eventually reaches the end of its life, putting out a combined 1210 lumens at a warm 3000K colour temperature across the fitting. It works with a leading or trailing edge dimmer if you want to soften the light in the evening. As a Class II, double insulated fixture it does not need an earth connection, though it is still a hardwired ceiling light and should be fitted by a qualified electrician.
