The Cairo is a solar powered outdoor wall light with a built in PIR sensor, finished in black with white polycarbonate detailing, designed for security lighting at a door, garage or garden wall without any wiring.

How It Works
It uses a 5W integrated LED light source at a warm white 3000K colour temperature, charged by an integrated solar panel, with a PIR sensor that boosts brightness from a low 125 lumen glow up to 500 lumens when movement is detected. It isn't dimmable. The fitting is wired to Class III and runs on a safety extra low voltage solar supply, so there's no mains wiring or earth connection involved, and no electrician is needed to fit it.

Does the Cairo need to be wired into the mains?
No. It runs on a safety extra low voltage solar supply and is rated Class III, so there is no mains wiring or earth connection needed and no electrician is required to fit it.
How does the PIR sensor affect the brightness?
The light stays on a low 125 lumen glow when idle, then rises to 500 lumens once the PIR sensor detects movement nearby.
Can the brightness be dimmed?
No. The Cairo's integrated LED is not dimmable, it simply switches between the low glow and the brighter PIR triggered output.
Is the Cairo suitable for exposed outdoor walls?
Yes. It carries an IP44 rating, which means it is protected against splashing water, so it can be fitted on outdoor walls that get some exposure to rain.
