A Classic Lantern for Every Front Door
The Searchlight Byron Outdoor Wall & Porch Light brings a traditional lantern shape to porches and front doors, its antique brass frame and clear glass panels giving a warm, welcoming glow as soon as it gets dark.
Materials and Finish
The frame is built from stainless steel and finished in antique brass with warm gold tones, glazed on all sides with clear glass panels that let the light spread outward.
How It Works
It takes a single E27 bulb (not included) and is not dimmable. As a Class I fitting it needs to be earthed, so installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.

Is the Byron wall light suitable for a front door without any shelter?
It is rated IP44, which covers splashing water rather than direct, driving rain, so it works best somewhere with at least some shelter, such as a recessed porch or covered entrance.
Can I fit an LED bulb instead of an incandescent one?
Yes, any E27 bulb that fits the fitting's dimensions will work, including LED, as long as it is not a dimmable bulb paired with a dimmer switch, since this fitting is not dimmable.
Does the Byron need to be professionally installed?
As a Class I fitting it must be earthed, so we recommend having it installed by a registered electrician rather than fitting it yourself.
What size wall space do I need for this light?
The lantern measures 16cm wide, 11cm in projection from the wall and up to 25cm in height including the finial, so it will comfortably fit most standard porch and doorway wall spaces.
