A Slim Black Post Light for Paths and Borders
The Athol is a slim outdoor post light in a black aluminium finish, with a square cage top framing an opal diffuser and a built in LED. It stands 65cm tall on a 15cm square base, making it a neat way to line a path, driveway or garden border without towering over the planting around it.
Materials and Finish
The post, cap and cage frame are cast in aluminium and finished in black. The glow comes through an opal diffuser, which softens the light output rather than showing a bare bulb.
How It Works
It's powered by an integrated 9W LED that can't be replaced, giving 746 lumens of warm white 3000K light. The light isn't dimmable. It's rated Class I, which means it needs an earth connection, so installation by a qualified or NICEIC registered electrician is recommended.
Where It Works Best
It's designed for outdoor use only, along paths, driveways, garden borders or entranceways, where a low level light at ankle to knee height helps mark the way after dark. With an IP54 rating it copes well with rain and splashing water, but it's built for gardens and outdoor spaces rather than indoor rooms.
