How It Works
Powered by a 2W integrated LED, not replaceable, giving 90 lumens of warm white 3000K light, with a built in PIR motion sensor. It isn't dimmable. It's Class III, meaning it runs on safety extra low voltage from its solar cell, so there's no earth connection needed and no electrician required to fit it.

Does the Argyle need mains wiring or an electrician to fit?
No. It's a Class III fitting that runs entirely from its own solar cell, so there's no earth connection and no electrician needed. It just needs fixing to the wall.
How does the PIR motion sensor work?
The built in PIR sensor detects movement nearby and switches the light on automatically, then off again after a short period once no more movement is detected.
Is the Argyle suitable for exposed outdoor locations?
It's rated IP54, so it's protected against dust and against splashing water from any direction, which suits a porch, entrance or garden wall. It isn't rated for submersion or direct high pressure jets.
How bright is the light?
The integrated LED gives 90 lumens of warm white 3000K light. That's suited to gentle security and accent lighting around a doorway or wall rather than floodlighting a large area.
Can the LED be replaced if it stops working?
The LED is integrated and not replaceable, but the fitting carries a 5 year warranty.
