Two Globes, Adjustable Reach

The Schwung Zosia table lamp carries two transparent glass globes, one set larger than the other, on an adjustable brass arm rising from a weighted base. Unlike the fixed column of its floor lamp counterpart, the Zosia table lamp's arm can be repositioned, so the height and angle of both globes can be tailored to a desk, console or bedside table.

Transparent Glass in Two Sizes

The larger of the two globes measures 150mm in diameter, the smaller 100mm, both in clear borosilicate glass that makes no attempt to hide the bulb inside. Lit, the Zosia table lamp gives a warm, direct glow with the filament of each bulb visible through the glass, the smaller scale of the two globes suiting a lamp meant to sit close to where you're working or reading.

Choose Your Finish

The Zosia table lamp is available with its brass arm and base in Black Gunmetal, Lacquered Burnished Brass or Polished Nickel. Black Gunmetal gives the arm a dark, low key presence beside the transparent glass. Lacquered Burnished Brass keeps a warm, traditional brass tone that suits a bedside or console setting. Polished Nickel gives the arm a cooler, reflective surface that picks up light from both globes.

How It Works

Each globe takes a 1.6W G4 LED bulb, included, giving a warm 2700K glow at around 180 lumens per bulb, 360 lumens in total. The lamp is dimmable, but only with electronic ELV or trailing edge dimmers. It runs from a 3 metre cable with an inline on/off switch and plug. With its arm extended, the lamp reaches up to 541mm in height and 426mm in length, with a base depth of around 200mm, and weighs 2.8kg complete, light enough to reposition easily on a desk or table. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms and carries CE/UL certification with a 2 year warranty.

Where It Works Best

The adjustable arm makes the Zosia table lamp suited to a desk, where the globes can be angled over paperwork or a keyboard, as well as a bedside table, where the arm can be swung to reading position and folded back when not in use. It also works well on a console or sideboard, where its brass and glass character reads at close range.

Made by Schwung

Schwung was founded in 2014 in Namyslow, Poland, by Belgian designer Dominique Sente and Dutch designer Rudi Nijssen. Every Zosia lamp is made to order in solid brass and hand blown glass at the Namyslow workshop. Schwung positions its table lamps as portable versions of the same material language used across its ceiling and wall fittings, brass and glass scaled down to sit within arm's reach.
